Sweet Tea & Lemon Peel-Off Clay Mask

I love face masks. I don’t use them nearly as much as I should, but a mini pampering session is always nice. I picked up this Sweet Tea & Lemon Peel-Off Clay Mask at the store a few weeks ago and I’ve used it a few times now. Peel off masks are so satisfying. Actually, anything peel-off is satisfying.

Here’s how the brand describes it:

“Charm skin with a little southern comfort in the form of Sweet Tea spritzed with a squeeze of refreshing Lemon! Our peel-away clay mask delivers the cleansing, oil-absorbing benefits you expect from clay, plus the all-over toning and refining perks of an easy-to-peel-off mask! Antioxidant-rich Tea and Lemon Fruit Extract calm for the ultimate in toning and soothing benefits. Perfect for normal to combination skin.

For me, there are pros and cons to this particular mask.

Pro – my skin looks brighter the first few days after I use this mask!

Con – It takes forever to peel it all off. I have used another peel-off mask from the brand a few years ago – the Cucumber one – and it never took me long to remove it all. I remember being able to peel off big sections with that one. I haven’t been able to peel off a lot at a time with this one. It has taken me between 15-20 minutes so far!

If you have the time and you’re not in a rush, then the fact that it takes a while to peel off may not be an issue for you. Like I said in my pro, my skin does look brighter the days after the mask so the extra time is worth it for me.

Overall, it’s a nice drugstore mask and really affordable at under $5.
