Amazon Fashion Tips
I’ve been shopping Amazon Fashion for almost a year now and over that time I’ve been really lucky to find some hits. I know a lot of people talk about the hits and misses of Amazon Fashion, but I’ve been really lucky and have only gotten pieces I really like and even love. So I thought I would share some of my tips to shopping Amazon Fashion!
1. Don’t Rush
Amazon is not the retailer that I rush to buy things on, unless it’s like Prime Day or something! When it comes to Amazon Fashion, things come in and out of stock all the time so I never stress about something being gone forever. And even if a certain retailer doesn’t restock, there’s a very good chance that there’s another brand on the site that is selling a very similar item if not pretty much identical item. Take your time and see if it’s something you really want. I usually add things to my cart and wait weeks or even months before I buy something from them.
2. Check the Ratings
Check to see what the ratings are. I don’t get anything that doesn’t have at least 4 out of 5 stars and I always get items that have a ton of ratings. Something that has 5 stars but only 15 reviews doesn’t seemΒ as trustworthy as something with 4.5 stars and 1,000 ratings.Β
3. Read Reviews
Read a bunch of reviews for the item. This is so important! Read a bunch of them so you can get a good idea of different perspectives on the item. Was it good quality? How was the fit? I find most reviews to say similar things. Once in a while you’ll see an outlier with a review about a sweater being wonky or something like that, but if it’s only a few out of hundreds of good reviews I decide whether it’s worth the gamble. Sometimes there are just some manufacturing errors or duds, but if the rest of the reviews seem pretty good then I’ll give it a chance if I really want it.
4. Check the Size Chart
Make sure to check the size chart and read about how the sizing was in people’s reviews. Every brand has different sizing and you can find out if the items run small, big, true to size. Measurements in their size charts are also incredibly helpful.
5. Amazon’s Choice
This kind of goes along with the ratings and reviews. Like I mentioned earlier, there are many brands that sell items that look really similar to each other. I like to choose the ones that are marked “Amazon’s Choice”. These are the items marked by Amazon as being highly rated and that through their data they can see that customers were satisfied with their purchase.
Those are my main tips for shopping Amazon Fashion! The photos above are just some of my favorites, but I’ve been really happy with everything I’ve gotten this past year!
