My New Book: It’s Me, Again

Happy Friday! I can’t believe another week has gone by already. I hope you’ve all had a good week.

I’m about halfway through writing my newest book, It’s Me, Again, on Wattpad so I wanted to talk about it a little bit on here and let you know what it’s about!

It’s Me, Again is another YA love story like my first book, My Life Plan…Undone , but this one is told in 2 perspectives. Some chapters are told from the female protagonist, Kate’s, point of view and some are told in the male protagonist, Dylan’s, point of view.

Kate and Dylan were childhood friends and high school sweethearts. They head off to college together and it doesn’t take long for college life to drive them apart. Preoccupied with partying and enticed by the idea of other girls, Dylan breaks Kate’s heart and breaks up with her. Fast forward 2+ years and Kate wakes up from a week-long medically induced coma after a bad car accident. She doesn’t remember the past 2 years and one of the only people she remembers at school is…Dylan. Dylan happily comes back into her life to help her out and win her back after the worst mistake of his life. But, of course, we can’t have a happy love story without a twist! Kate has a boyfriend, the very charming Carter, who is studying abroad in London! Is there still a spark between Kate and Dylan? Can Dylan win her back before Carter comes home for good?

I’ve made a few mood boards so far, but I’m only going to share 2 for now because the other ones give away a little too much about the story. I don’t want to spoil anything for you if you haven’t read any of my book yet! So I’ll save those for once I’m done writing.

And one of my favorite characters to write has been, Sarah, Kate’s roommate and best friend. She’s funny, sassy, and unapologetically herself.

I’m enjoying this story and while I have a list of other love story ideas, I think I’m going to take a little break from YA love stories for my next book and go the thriller route. Just to keep my mind fresh. I have a really good idea that I want to try to write and then I’m sure I’ll come back to another love story. Got to keep myself on my toes!
