Hot Chocolate Affogato
Last year I shared the Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook and carrot cake cookies I made from the book. This year I was sent The Unofficial Disney Parks Drink Recipe Book!
After flipping through the book and looking at all the different drink recipes ranging from hot and cold drinks, alcholoic and non-alcoholic. I decided to try the hot chocolate affogato – a made from scratch hot chocolate poured over vanilla ice cream. Doesn’t that just sound delicious?
The recipe is from Vivoli il Gelato in Disney Springs.
For this recipe you’ll need:
- milk (the recipe uses whole milk but I used 1%)
- semisweet chocolate chips
- milk chocolate chips
- unsweetened cocoa powder
- salt
- vanilla ice cream
- whipped cream

The hot chocolate affogato was good! It was a tad bit sweet/too chocolately so next time I’ll probably add a little less of the chocolate and a little more milk. But overall, it was a nice sweet treat!
Also, how perfect is my cheers sweatshirt for the drink and for the holidays? It’s hard to tell here, but the letters are foiled so it’s got some shine!
