Most people want their homes to look more expensive. This can make you feel more luxurious, impress other people and help you get the right price when you look to sell. The good news is that there are many ways you can add value to your home. Even the more expensive upgrade will cause you to get a greater return than what you invested. Upgrade the Kitchen and Bathroom

The kitchen and bathroom are the two rooms in the home that have the most functions, and this makes them the most expensive to upgrade. However, they ate the two rooms which could add the most value. If you have a lot of issues with your plumbing and the decor is looking a little dated, then you may as well go for a refurb and some plumbing remodeling. If you are on a strict budget, then it may be more cost-effective just to upgrade some of the fixtures, such as the faucets, door knobs, and handles. Hang some new pictures on the wall and consider using potted indoor plants to brighten the place up.

Let There be Light

A great way of making a place look more expensive is to bathe it in natural light. Increasing natural light can have so many benefits, from brightening up the place to making it appear airier, cleaner, and breezier. It can even make a room look larger. Ways to add more light include getting new windows, installing a skylight, changing your curtains, and rearranging the furniture. If you paint the walls a lighter color and add mirrors, then you can make the space look larger too. This is a huge benefit if the room you are in is quite small and needs opening up a bit.

Deep Clean

A deep clean is essential to making a home look more expensive. First, you are very likely to need to do an intense decluttering session. Get rid of everything you can. You need the home to appear more spacious and light. To do that, you have to get rid of everything you no longer need and be as ruthless as you can. Once your home is down to the essentials, then you can deep clean it. The lack of clutter will make it easier to keep to floors clean. Mold will have a more difficult time growing on walls. The air quality of the home will get better, and you will be able to make the fixtures in the home shine and gleam as they should.
