Books to Song Lyrics: Lose You to Love Me

Selena Gomez’s song “Love You to Love Me” always gets me in my feels. I did a little books to song lyrics for it. It wasn’t planned, but all my picks ended up being fantasy books!

The part of the song I used was:

• “You promised the world and I fell for it” – I chose Gild or The Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy. She thought Midas was saving her, but maybe he’s who she needs to be saved from.
• “I saw the signs and I ignored it” – I chose A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas, because in that book Feyre tries to hold on to her love for Tamlin, but there are signs that he is not the right one for her.
• “I need to lose you to find me” – I chose Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas, which is part of the Throne of Glass series. Aelin went through a lot in that book including what happened with Sam and it all leads her to what she’s meant to do.
