New Book: Every Missing Girl

Today is the release day for Every Missing Girl by Leanne Kale Sparks. It is book 2 in the Kendall Beck thriller series, but can be read as a standalone though there is mention of the case from book 1 in this one.

The book follows Kendall Beck, an FBI agent who specializes in missing kids. One evening she goes with her friend, homicide detective Adam Taylor, to his 12 year old niece’s hockey game. Frankie, his niece, goes missing after the game and they begin the investigation and search for her.

If you are a fan of thrillers, then this fast paced thriller might be for you!

Spoiler Alert

I began reading this over the weekend and actually was immediately drawn in. The story felt fast paced and the opening had me hooked. However, I decided not to finish reading it because I started to get an uneasy feeling about the story. In some cases, I don’t mind spoilers, so I scrolled towards the end – not to find out how it ultimately ends, but just to get an idea of what would happen to ease my anxiety. I did not like the spoilers I saw so I decided I would not continue reading. Yes, I spoiled it for myself, but I’m actually glad I did because it really saved me. Knowing what I know about the ending, I know that if I kept reading it for real I would not have been happy.

That being said, I think if you are normally a thriller reader/lover you may enjoy this book. I did see some 5 star reviews on Goodreads!
