Book Review: Ricochet
I read book 2 in the Addicted/Calloway Sisters series, Ricochet, by Krista & Becca Ritchie this week. I loved it and it felt good to reunite with Lily and Lo and even Rose, Connor, and Ryke and get to know Daisy more.

This book was a bit shorter than Addicted to You and a lot shorter than book 3 (I have that on my bookshelf already) and I think it’s because it’s sort of an in-between book. What I mean by that is that it picks up where book 1 left off and takes place during the 3 months that Lo is in rehab. So the book just follows Lily as she tries to cope with Lo being away and not really being able to be in contact with him until he’s allowed to call/email her and Lily tries to manage her own addiction.
The 3 months are really tough for Lily and I really liked that her dealing with her addiction seems so realistic. It’s not an easy process and just because she wants to not be a sex addict any more doesn’t mean she can just stop. And with Lo away, Lily really learns to rely on Rose, Connor, and Ryke, which I loved. I can see why fans of this series are so invested and love the core six so much. I’m only 2 books in and I love them! Lily also begins seeing a therapist in this book and I was rooting for her the whole time! This book does end on a bit of a cliffhanger which I think is going to be a main focus in book 3!
Quotes I loved:
“Even when I was a kid, Lo would put his hands on my cheeks and kiss me really quickly, and we’d burst into laughter afterwards. He’d end up chasing me through the fancy parties that our parents brought us to, trying to steal another. I’d always let him catch me.”
“Our I love yous encompass years of heartache, of hurt, of laughter and pain. And every time we say the words, I feel the rush of our childhood. I couldn’t imagine ever losing that.”
I mentioned this in my review for Addicted to You, but in case you missed it – since all the books in the series (10 books) are being re-released with new covers I’m taking my time getting through the series. Especially since the last two aren’t being re-released until this winter.
Anyway, I can’t wait to read book 3 since I already own it!
