Book Review: Forever Never

I’ve got another Lucy Score novel under my belt – Forever Never – and I loved it so much!

Remington Honeyblossom Ford or Remi has come home to Mackinac Island saying she just wanted to visit her family. But, her visit was unexpected and she came home with a broken arm, which has her family including her police chief mom wondering what the real story is. The other person who wants to know what’s really going on? Brick Callan. Brick and Remi have had a tense relationship since they met when Remi was a teenager. There was a good friendship between the two and an unspoken attraction, but Brick was a few years older and Remi was dating his younger brother. Fast forward years later and Remi is back and Brick is divorced…from Remi’s best friend when she was a teenager. Even though their friendship is hot and cold, Remi has always felt safest when she’s with Brick.

What has Remi running home from Chicago? Can Brick protect her from what’s coming?

I loved this book so much. Remi and Brick were everything. Their feelings for each other over the years and personal journey’s were so good. The slow burn and tension for the first half of the book is delicious, but once that spice hits around the halfway mark it really hits! This may be the spiciest Lucy Score book I’ve read!

Read this if you want a spicy contemporary romance with a bit of mystery/thriller vibes and the friends to enemies to lovers, slow burn, small town romance tropes.
