Book Review: Tragic Bonds

I’m almost done with The Bonds that Tie series by J. Bree and just finished the second to last book a couple days ago, Tragic Bonds. *This post does contain some spoilers to the series!*

The novel picks up exactly where Forced Bonds left off and the Resistance has delivered big blows to Oli and her bonds. However, Oli is more powerful than ever and her and the bond that she has not become close with due to his personal issues, Nox, end up soul bonding. Now Oli and her bonds are stronger than ever.

The group works tirelessly to build up the Sanctuary and fix all the damage the Resistance inflicted upon their new community. They do all this while still trying to bring down the resistance, especially their evil leader, Silas Davies.

I really enjoyed this installment of the series and I absolutely loved that Oli and Nox are finally close, trust each other, and are bonded. Nox’s character development made this book for me and I love how through their soul bonding, Oli was able to see Nox’s childhood and understand why he is the way he is. I loved seeing Nox turn from being this guy who criticized her at every turn and didn’t want to give her the time of day into a really understanding and protective bond!

The ending was a big twist and cliffhanger so I can’t wait to see how this whole series will wrap up!
