Book Review: Nanny for the Neighbors

I read my first Lily Gold book last year (Triple Duty Bodyguards) and really enjoyed it. I’ve been meaning to read another book by her and finally did. I chose Nanny for the Neighbors.

This why choose romcom follows Beth, Jack, Sebastian, and Cyrus. Beth is an out of work nanny who just so happens to have a far away crush on one of her neighbors and his 2 roommates, but she doesn’t actually know them. Until one day, they knock on her door in need of her professional help. A baby was left on their doorstep and one of them is the father – they just don’t know which one since they were in a group relationship with the baby, Cami’s, mother. They want Cami, but have no idea how to care for a baby. Enter Beth and her baby expertise.

Beth cares for Cami, teaches the guys how to take care of a baby, and as they all get to know each other the attraction and chemistry between her and all the guys only grows. Jack is a video game/app designer, Sebastian is a businessman, and Cyrus is a dancer. They are all different, all hot, and have been best friends since college. Beth likes all of them and they like her. Can Beth see herself in a relationship with the 3 guys?

This was a fun and entertaining read, but also had some heavier/more serious topics like difficult family relationships, anxiety, etc. I really liked Beth and all the guys too! Beth, who has never had anyone take care of her, learns to let the guys care for her. And they also learn to let Beth support them as well. With the family issues 2 out of the 3 guys have and Beth not having a family, there is a strong found family trope here and I always love that trope. And seeing the guys learn how to take care of Cami was so adorable!

Read this if you want a spicy why choose romcom with the found family trope.
