Book Review: Peach Pit

As I continue to work my way through my tbr of books sent to me for PR, I read Peach Pit over the past week or so. It is an anthology of short stories about unsavory women ranging from a story about a middle-aged Black woman who gets revenge on the terrible men she meets on dating apps to stories about con artists, murderers, and teenage girls competing for the title of “Worst girl in America”.

I really liked the premise of this anthology and the first few stories were pretty entertaining. It was easy to see what drove these women to do horrible things. But after a while it got a little too much for me and a bit tiresome to keep reading about these terrible women. Overall, I liked the idea of the book, but maybe it would’ve been better to read the short stories spaced out so I didn’t get tired of reading about all these flawed women back to back.
