Banned Book Tee

Did you know that this past week was Banned Book Week? Coincidentally when I ordered some bookish apparel recently I got this “I’m with the banned” tee so I had to show it off for the occasion.

I got the tee from Book Wardbobe. It comes in a bunch of colors, but I decided to go with maroon because I loved how the colors of the print pops off the maroon.

I read a quote recently that said something like “If a book is banned it’s probably worth reading” or something like that. It’s true. Plus, I don’t know why some people are more concerned with banning books but have no problem allowing whoever wants one to buy things like assault rifles. Make it make sense!

Lastly, how cute is this tote bag with the books that make up a city?! So my story about this tote – A few weeks ago I saw a bookstagrammer post a photo in Barnes & Noble of new totes that were out on display. I saw this tote and fell in love with it. I wasn’t going to get a chance to go to B&N anytime in the next few days and I needed it. I went on the website and scoured the whole website for it. I found a tote called “book city” that I thought could possibly be this tote bag but it had no photo. All it said was that it was a newly released tote. I decided to order it and hope for the best when it arrived and thankfully it was the right tote! Anyway, that’s the story behind it!
