Fake Dating Book Picks Part 5

I always love the fake dating trope. It’s just so fun! I’m back with a roundup for a part 5 of book picks with the trope.

  • Right Man, Right Time – Ollie needs a fake boyfriend to stick it in her ex’s face whose new girlfriend is her rival. Silas needs a fake girlfriend to bring to events to get his friends off his back.
  • The Devil You Know – Tate wants Cooper, her brother’s best friend, to coach her sexually and he wants her to help him with studying for his college classes. They spend so much time together that they have to pretend to actually be dating.
  • The Catch – Melanie is with Evan, the innkeeper and lobster fisherman, when an accident lands him in the hospital an unconscious. She pretends to be his fiancée in order to be let in to see him and before she can leave his whole family arrives and thinks they’re really engaged.
  • Happily Never After – Sophie and Max have been spending so much time together in their secret wedding crasher business that people think they’re a couple, but it is beneficial for them because Sophie’s boss wants to know she has a life outside work and Max’s parents won’t retire and move to their vacation home until they know he’s settled down.
  • The Dead Guy Next Door – Riley and Nick pretend to be dating to investigate the murder of her neighbor.
  • The Reason I Married Him – Aubree and Wyatt hardly know each other, but have to pretend to be in love and engaged so Wyatt can inherit his grandpa’s cabin and Aubree can get Wyatt’s share of the farmland they share.
  • Bridesmaid for Hire – Maggie and Brody do not get along and run into each other at a Bora Bora resort. Although they don’t get along, they pretend to be a couple to help Brody impress his boss at his daughter’s wedding and Maggie’s offering her expertise as a wedding planner helps her business as well.
  • The Dixon Rule – Diana and Shane do not get along and are now neighbors and fall into a fake dating situation to benefit them both. Shane’s ex just transferred to Briar U and has a new boyfriend. Diana’s ex won’t leave her alone.
  • A Kiss of Iron – Kat and Bastian are deep in court intrigue with fae, magic, and spies so why not add fake dating to the mix as well?
  • Funny Story – Daphne and Miles are new roommates after her fiancé left her for his best friend…Miles’ girlfriend. Now their exes are engaged and they’ve been invited to the wedding. They RSVP together and decide to pretend to be a couple.
