Book Review: The Mistletoe Mystery
I’ve been loving The Maid series by Nita Prose and the holiday novella, The Mistletoe Mystery, was so delightful and honestly a bit emotional and had me tearing up during it!

The novella takes place after The Mystery Guest and a few years after The Maid. Molly and Juan Manuel are a happy couple and living together. They’re both incredibly busy at The Regency Grand Hotel where Molly is head maid and Juan Manuel is a pastry chef. While Molly is very happy with Juan Manuel, she can’t help but let some of her insecurities get to her and begins to worry that one day Juan Manuel will realize he doesn’t want to be with her anymore. It doesn’t help that Juan has been acting secretive lately and more than once Molly has caught Juan doing something suspicious. Is Juan doing something bad behind Molly’s back? Can Molly solve this mystery before the Regency Grand’s big staff holiday party – one of Molly’s favorite days of the year?
This novella was so charming and delightful. I loved following Molly during the the holidays. Her flashbacks and stories of her gran always get me in my feels, but this book made me a bit emotional in addition to all of that because of how Molly was feeling. I think her feelings of insecurity will be relatable to many readers.
This novella was one of my favorite reads this month and one of my favorite reads from my Christmas tbr!
