Romance Book Picks for Halloween
As most of you know if you’ve been following me on here for a while, I don’t like scary things so horror books are a no-go for me. I’ll read suspense and thrillers occasionally, but only if they’re not scary. Obviously, I’ve never been into the scary, gory side of Halloween and I never wore any bloody costumes. I’m a cute or pretty costume person lol. So, I have put together a couple romance picks that are perfect for Halloween.

- The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston – Florence Day is a romance writer who is suffering from writer’s block. After a bad breakup she no longer believes in love so how can she write about it? Adding to her stress is the fact that she has a new editor and had to break the news to him that she won’t be making her deadline. When she goes back home after a family tragedy, she gets a visit from her editor. Who is now a ghost.
- The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling – 9 years ago Vivienne, a witch, had her heartbroken by Rhys Penhallow, a male witch. After wallowing with vodka and her cousin, Gwyn, she jokingly curses Rhys. Little did they know they really did curse him. So when Rhys comes back to represent his family at the 100th anniversary of the town everything gets crazy.
- Angelika Frankenstein Makes Her Match by Sally Thorne – Angelika is the younger sister of Victor Frankenstein. Having no luck finding a husband, Angelika or Jelly, decides to create her own match. I’m posting my review on this one tomorrow!
- The League of Gentlewomen Witches by India Holton – This Victorian romcom follows Charlotte Pettifer, a witch for The Wicken League, and Alex O’Riley, a pirate for The Wisteria Society. Witches and pirates are sworn enemies, but when a long lost amulet that both parties want, Charlotte and Alex work together to recover it.
All of these picks are good, have romance in them, and are fun reads for Halloween! The Dead Romantics is a bit emotional so not as lighthearted and fantastical as the other picks, but a great read!
Also, how cute is my Halloween bookish tee?! It’s from Blossom & Book.
