Book Review: The Geographer’s Map to Romance
I always love India Holton’s books because they are so whimsical and fun. I recently finished her second book in the Love’s Academic series, The Geographer’s Map to Romance.

This book follows Gabriel Tarrant and Elodie Tarrant. Gabriel is Devon’s cousin from book 1, The Ornithologist’s Field Guide to Love. Gabriel and Elodie are geographers who are experts in magical disasters. They have known each other for years and went to school at Oxford together before getting married a year ago in a marriage of convenience for a housing situation. But after 2 days of marital bliss they’re housing fell through and they didn’t really need to be married after all. So they went their separate ways despite both being secretly in love with the other.
Now they’ve both accidentally been called to manage a disaster in a small village in Wales since they’re both “Dr. Tarrant”. They have to work together to figure out the source of the magic that is disrupting and causing catastrophic damage before it spreads further all while they wish to reveal their true feelings to one another, but believe the other hates them.
I loved Elodie and Gabriel. They were adorable and the storyline and their chemistry had that signature India Holton whimsy, humor, and wit. The whole premise of the magical disasters was fun and I liked reading about Elodie and Gabriel trying to solve the mystery/problem.
Read this if you want a romantasy regency romcom with the marriage of convenience and second chance romance tropes.
