Book Review: Holly

I can’t believe we’re just days away from August. I’m seriously not ready for summer to be almost over. As we’re at the end of July, my post today is my final Christmas in July book for the year – Holly by Adalyn Grace. It is a Christmas novella and sort of fun, epilogue for the Belladonna series.

Holly is a fun novella set at Christmas time at Wisteria Gardens with the Belladonna characters readers love. The novella follows Aris, Blythe, Signa, and Sylas as they prepare for Christmas at Wisteria Gardens. Blythe wants it to be the perfect Christmas so she has decorated the whole manor with holly and trees and festive decorations top to bottom. Aris wants to make sure the holiday is perfect for his love since it means so much to her. He thinks his biggest problem is finding the perfect gifts for Blythe, Signa, his brother Sylas, and his father-in-law Elijah. That is until Signa comes across dozens of spirits at Wisteria and while they seem harmless, Aris doesn’t want anything to threaten Christmas for his family. Now they must figure out who these ghosts are and how to get them to move on before Christmas.

This was a fun read and I loved being reunited with these characters. It was nice to see them after the ending of Wisteria and see what they are all up to. I really appreciated the inclusion of Elijah in the book and to see that he’s still such a big part of the family years later.

If you’ve read the Belladonna series, then I recommend reading this holiday read! Also, I didn’t take photos of the inside, but the text is all green and there are gorgeous illustrations! The cover under the dust jacket is beautiful too, so I will make sure to show it all in my next “under the dust jacket” post!
