After Work – Food & Reading

Happy Halloween!

A Court of Splintered Harmony released this week! Have you already read it? My copy arrived on Wednesday – not too bad considering many of my preorders usually arrive days after release day. The day after release day is an improvement. Anyway, I had every intention of beginning to read it the evening I took the photos for this post, but then I felt like I was in the middle of too many different reads and I didn’t feel emotionally ready for it so after I did all this, I still haven’t started it! But I think I will this weekend.

So when I got home from work I immediately changed into comfy clothes. That includes my SJM universe sweatshirt and sweatpants. I got this sweatshirt years ago from Etsy. After doing some chores and things around the house I made a dumpling salad with chili crisp dressing for dinner and had some Kindle time while I ate. Lastly, I lit my Night Court candle, take out my ACOTAR blanket, and prepared to start A Court of Splintered Harmony. But, as mentioned above I didn’t end up starting it and continued one of my other current reads instead.
