    Rent: Live (Sort of)

Did you catch Rent: Live on Sunday night? I watched it but since it didn’t end until 11 I wasn’t able to get a post up recapping my thoughts on it until today. So why do I have “Sort of” in the title? Well, when the show started there was a little caption in the corner that said “pre-recorded” and I wondered why. Was there something about the opening number that warranted it to be pre-recorded? After doing a quick search online I found out that one of the lead actors, Brennin Hunt, who plays Roger broke his foot the night before at the final dress rehearsal! It would later be…

    Tearjerker Movies – Part 2

Over 2 years ago I wrote a post about a few movies that, without fail, will always make me cry. Although it was written back in 2016, it still gets consistent views today – as do some of my other movie posts so I guess I need to write more of those! My last post on tearjerker movies included Hachi, Stepmom, My Girl, Beaches, and Letters to Juliet. I thought it was time to do a round 2! This time around I have a mix of old and new movies. I’m talking about really old – before I was born, in to my childhood, and then within the past 2…

December 2018 Favorites + Looking Back on 2018

Can you believe it’s the very last day of 2018?! I honestly can’t. This year went by in the blink of an eye and I need time to slow down. I thought about doing a 2018 recap and include some of my favorite posts from the year, but that would be very time consuming to go through the entire year to pick out my top posts. I used to do that but it would just take forever and I always felt like I wasn’t doing my recap justice nor paying proper homage to these favorite posts and moments. So I’ve decided not to do that this year, but I will…

    Throwback Christmas Album Listening

Happy Friday! It’s my first day of winter break and it could not have come at a better time. I was just about to reach my limit before complete burn out. This week and a half I have off for break is probably going to fly by as usual, but I’m hoping I can carve out some much needed relaxation. It’s going to be pretty busy with Christmas and a short little trip – don’t worry I will be taking you along with me next week! In the meantime, today’s post was originally meant to be a round up of some Christmas songs – both old and more current –…

Hallmark Christmas Movies I Would & Have Watched Multiple Times

If you know me, it’s no secret that I have a mild obsession with Hallmark movies. Sure they are predictable and many of them follow a similar formula – especially the romantic comedy ones. But I don’t care, I will still watch all the movies! The Christmas movies are especially my favorite. Some are much better than others. Some I watch and I really love and some I’m like eh, that was just okay. This season of Christmas movies on the channel started back at the end of October so I’ve already seen quite a few and there are still more to come leading up to the holiday. Some of…

    November 2018 Favorites

It’s the last day of November! How?! I felt like it was the beginning of November when Thanksgiving was around the corner and now we’re at the very end. As usual, I’ve rounded up some things I loved this month that made it into my monthly favorites. First up, I know everyone goes crazy for the Starbucks holiday cups but they really are so pretty. Here are shots of 2 of the designs. They just make me happy! Speaking about holiday, I put up my Christmas tree the weekend before Thanksgiving. Usually I wait until the day after but I was busy all Thanksgiving weekend so I did it early. I…

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald – Makers, Mysteries, and Magic

Do you have an Audible account? I didn’t until recently (does a free trial count?) because Audible was kind enough to send me a copy of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald – Makers, Mysteries, and Magic! I just saw the movie this weekend so I was even more pumped to listen to this behind the scenes audio. First off – I saw the movie late Saturday night and although the movie has gotten some negative reviews I actually didn’t think it was that bad. I’ll agree it wasn’t amazing and there are more questions than answers – but honestly anything related to Harry Potter isn’t going to get hate from…

    New TV Shows I’m Loving

Every fall I look forward to checking out the new shows on TV. Some I really look forward to and they aren’t as good as I hoped, some live up to expectations, and some exceed expectations. I’ve rounded up 4 new shows this season that I’ve been watching, loving, and fit in to that category of exceeding expectations. First up, Magnum, P.I.. This reboot of the Tom Selleck show modernizes the story of Hawaii’s favorite private investigator. It’s brought to viewers from the same producer as Hawaii Five-0. I never watched the original show, but I know of it. My mom used to watch it back when it was on tv…

    October 2018 Favorites

Happy Halloween! I can’t believe it’s already Halloween, the end of October, and that the holiday season is officially upon us. It’s crazy how fast this year has gone. Since it’s the end of October I’ve rounded up some things I loved this month as I do every month. First up, is the coffee table book I got – Florists to the Field . It’s so pretty and I love flipping through and looking at the gorgeous photos! The next few favorites are things I’ve been loving to wear/use. My black joggers with white stripes down the side are so soft and comfy! I love them. My favorite shoe this fall has…
