    Plaid Teddie Sweater

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great time ringing in 2019 doing whatever you wanted to do whether it was out at a big party, with friends at home, or sleeping! I got together with a few friends and we had a pajama/onesie party. My last day of 2018 didn’t start out so smoothly after burning a hole in my shirt with the iron, but I’m hoping 2019 will be a much better year! Today I’m sharing this sweater I wore on Christmas. I know, Christmas is technically 2 holidays ago, but it was just a week ago! I’m not sure why this sweater is called a…

    Christmas Heart

Merry Christmas! I’ve said it before in the past few days and I’ll say it again – I can’t believe it’s already Christmas. It definitely feels like it came out of nowhere. I hope all of you who celebrate have a wonderful day today and had a fantastic Christmas Eve as well. The Christmas outfit I’m sharing today is not what I’m wearing today, but a cozy, casual, lounging outfit that I wore over the weekend. This green tee may not look Christmas-y to the naked eye aside from the fact that it is green and red, but it’s actually a Grinch tee! You know how they say in the…

    Not Another Ugly Sweater

Merry Christmas Eve! It doesn’t feel like Christmas or Christmas Eve to me – I don’t know why! Christmas Eve is always my favorite because there’s the excitement of Christmas. Since I was little my family has always put more of an emphasis on Christmas Eve than Christmas. And while I still love Christmas day because there’s presents in the morning and family things and food during the day and evening, I always feel like Christmas day is so anti-climatic. It goes by fast and then it’s over and you have to wait a whole another 11 months to start decorating and all that again. But, Christmas Eve – there’s…

Christmas [Tree] Script Tee – 2 Ways

Merry Christmas Eve Eve! I love Christmas sweaters, tees, etc. but I think many people struggle with how to wear their holiday wear out in to the real world and not just to a holiday party. Yes, there are some that are reserved for holiday specific events like my sweater with a sequins elf outfit, I’m the head of the elf, and it says “Elfie Selfie”. Or my Christmas llama sweater that lights up. However, clothing items like a Christmas tee can transition from day to night and it’s probably a lot easier than you’d think. During Cyber Monday I got this long sleeve, v-neck tee that says Merry Christmas…

    Restyled: Christmas Plaid Cape

Can you believe it’s the weekend before Christmas?! I can’t. It really crept up on us this year, I feel! I’ve wrapped a majority of my gifts so far. I have a just a few things left which I’ll get to later this weekend. Last winter I shared this perfect Christmas Plaid Cape. I wore it in that blog post with a mixed chevron white sweater and red velvet leggings. This time around I wore it with a plain white long sleeve v-neck tee, black pants, and green Hunter boots. I wanted to take advantage of my holiday shoot with Lauren to get some great shots of this amazing cape.…

    Restyled: Green Velvet

I had originally planned to wear this green velvet dress to work yesterday, but I changed my mind and wore a different velvet dress instead. I may wear this later in the week, but in any case I had taken these photos over the weekend thinking I would be wearing it to work. I first styled this dress on here two Christmases ago I believe. It is the prettiest green velvet. The dress is meant to be off the shoulder and has drapey short sleeves that bell out. I wore it last time on here with a open-knit cardigan that has gold thread running through the cream fabric. This time…

    Green Chenille

There are two fabrics that people, myself included, can’t get enough of in the winter and they are velvet and chenille. I’d throw cashmere in there too but velvet and chenille are much more budget friendly. Chenille is so cozy and soft and one of those fabrics that you can’t help but touch. Last month when I was looking at Macy’s for a birthday gift for my mom I came across this chenille sweater on sale and of course had to pick it up for myself along with my mom’s gifts. The sweater is in the color “rare emerald” but it’s definitely a little more blue based than green giving…

    Christmas Plaid

Plaid is probably the most popular pattern in fall and winter and I’m all for it. Once seen (many years ago) as a print that your parents or farmers (or your farmer parents) would only wear now it’s super fashionable. A few weeks ago as it was getting closer to the Christmas season, I was looking for a plaid flannel top I had that was so soft and cozy and had the perfect Christmas look. It was a rich green and red plaid and so comfy. But I couldn’t find it anywhere! I still can’t find it. I know I hadn’t worn it in a year or two and whenever…

    Plush Camo Top

Camo was a popular print last year and it’s on trend again this year. I’m all for the look, in certain pieces, and while I like the print I don’t think you need 10 different pieces in it. However, I did have to have this camo top for a few reasons. 1. It is made of a plush material so it is super soft and cozy. Seriously, buttery soft! 2. It is long enough to wear with leggings and has that casual, lounge wear feel and look to it. 3. It isn’t your typical green camo print. There are swirls of pink in the print, which I love. It makes…

    Floral Medallion Print Top

Quick post for you today on this floral medallion print top. I know half the time I say I’m going to do a quick post I end up rambling and making it longer than the average post, but I’m really intending to keep this one short today! This top is sleeveless, which is fine because I’m wearing it with my cozy soft grey cardigan anyway. I love the large floral medallion print and all the colors. When I got this top I didn’t realize it was sheer. I think because the back is solid so when I picked it up, it didn’t look sheer. But, no matter – I just…
