Read Books & Fight the Patriarchy

Happy International Women’s Day! I’ve had my eye on this sweatshirt from Inkwell Threads for a while and now with everything going on in the world, mainly this country (the US) it felt more timely than ever to finally get it. What better time than now to wear a sweatshirt that says “Read books and fight the patriarchy”?

At the last minute I decided to grab a few books with fmc’s who were underestimated. The first three I grabbed were Fourth Wing, Gild, and Throne of Glass. In Fourth Wing (The Empyrean series) Violet is underestimated because she is not as physically strong as the others. In Gild, Auren has been manipulated for so long that she doesn’t realize she’s the strongest one, but she will eventually. In the Throne of Glass series, Aelin is underestimated as she fights her way back to where she belongs.

Here’s to more badass, female main characters!
