    Reversible Barcelona Cami

For those of you who have been following me for a while, you know that I’m one of those people who when I find a clothing item (basics) I really like I sometimes buy multiple in different colors. It’s great. But you know what is even better and also always exciting? When a clothing item is reversible! I love items that are reversible because you’re getting essentially two different items/looks for the price of one. I always love reversible bathing suits especially when on vacation because you only have to pack one bathing suit but you get 2 different looks out of it. Well, the clothing item I’m sharing today isn’t…

Peter Pan Collar + Circle Skirt

Peter Pan collars are one of my favorite style details. In my opinion, they are so classic, sophisticated, and sweet looking. Earlier this summer I got 2 new sleeveless blouses with peter pan collars. This one which is white with a light blue floral pattern cascading down and a grey blue one which you will probably see later on this fall. Top: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Skirt: Express | Shoes: New York & Company | Watch: Fossil Since when I wore this outfit to work it was much warmer out, I paired this top with a grey circle skirt and black flats. It was a very loose, flowy outfit for work –…

    White After Labor Day

I’m not one of those people that follows the rule of not wearing white after Labor Day. Sure, in some instances white is more of a summer color, but I think in many cases the type of piece you’re wearing is much more seasonal than the color. While I have no problem wearing white after Labor Day, the look I’m sharing today was actually from Labor Day itself. I wore a white, strappy tank top and floral shorts. Top: Express | Shorts: American Rag via Macy’s I’m really loving the strappy tank trend. I think the cut is so fun and flattering. It jazzes up a regular tank top for sure.…

Trend: Ripped Jeans & Gift Ideas

Style This Trend: Ripped Jeans by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring a bracelet bangle I can’t believe Thanksgiving is in 1 week! Where does the time go? From now until Christmas I’ll be sprinkling gift ideas in various posts whether it is an outright gift idea post such as my recent illustrated Harry Potter post or one like this post where I talk about some styles and trends that could also be great gift ideas. If you couldn’t tell from the set above or the title to this post, the trend I’m talking about is ripped jeans. Ripped jeans is a trend that comes and goes over the years and has made a resurgence…

    Style Inspiration: Jamie Chung

Style Inspiration: Jamie Chung by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring a bodycon skirt I think I’ve mentioned this once before at some point, but actress Jamie Chung is one of my top style icons. I absolutely love her style and how she can rock all types of styles from classy, formal for an awards show, to casual, boho chic for Coachella. If you haven’t, you definitely need to check out her website where she shares her looks and I personally think she kills it every time. When I decided I wanted to do a style inspiration post based on one of her looks, it was really hard to figure out just what look…

    Jewel Studded Top

On separate occasions I’ve written about embellished tops and color blocking and how I love them. Well luckily enough, one or two Christmases ago I was given this top that combines the two. Top: Loft Pants: Express Cardigan: Express Watch: Fossil Since the shirt is so thin and sheer, I paired it with a grey cardigan. I really threw this look together and didn’t really think anything of it, but I received quite a few compliments that day on it so I guess it came together better than I thought! I love the subtle color blocking in this top because so often we see such bold color blocking. While I am a fan of…

    Metallic Print

I recently wrote about how I’m loving the embellished sweatshirt trend so on my recent dress down day at work I again wore a sweatshirt. A sweatshirt with a pretty print or embellishments really dresses up the whole look and takes it from loungewear comfort to chic comfort. Metallics are also something I like and the combo of this navy blue with the rose gold, metallic print on this sweatshirt is perfect. Top: Gap Jeans: Express   I paired it with a bright tank underneath which I thought was a nice pop of color instead of the standard white or black. The print kind of reminds me of a cross between…

    Black & White Geometric Print

Back to basics after a long weekend. The long weekend for Thanksgiving was nice and much needed. It’s the longest break I’ve had since August. Mondays are always hard, but the Monday after a break is the worst. It’s like you’re starting all over. So this past Monday, my OOTD was definitely a back to basics kind of day. I wore black and white, but mixed it up a bit by wearing a geometric print top. Top: Express Pants: Loft The top is loose and wide at the shoulders. I think if you wore it more casually, you could wear it off one shoulder, but obviously I didn’t do that since I was…

    Hi-Lo Plaid Shirt

The day after Thanksgiving is not normally a day where people look and feel their best. You’re recovering from your food coma and if you ate throughout the day like me, you are definitely not about to wear that form fitting sweater on Friday. I decided to wear a loose fitting hi-lo plaid top. I absolutely love the colors in this plaid top. The purplish-grey and teal/turquoise stripes are a match made in plaid heaven. I was really tempted to wear leggings on that day, I even put them on, but then I decided to wear stretchy, skinny jeans instead because I was going out to dinner with my family…

    Blazer & Lace

Yesterday I wrote about bright colors and today I’m bringing you a monochromatic look. I went out for my friend’s birthday Friday night and knew I wanted to wear this striped lace top, which has a beautiful back (which I forgot to photograph). Not only is it sheer lace, but it is sleeveless so not ideal for the cold temperatures that night. I decided to wear this one button blazer and I felt like it really completed the look and gave it a really sophisticated feel. I then paired it with nude wedges to play off the stripes of the top and do something different than black heels. I was…
