On separate occasions I’ve written about embellished tops and color blocking and how I love them. Well luckily enough, one or two Christmases ago I was given this top that combines the two.
Since the shirt is so thin and sheer, I paired it with a grey cardigan. I really threw this look together and didn’t really think anything of it, but I received quite a few compliments that day on it so I guess it came together better than I thought!
I love the subtle color blocking in this top because so often we see such bold color blocking. While I am a fan of the bold and bright color blocking, it’s nice to see this subtle champagne to off-white/grey color block. It’s something different.
I love the little jeweled studs on this top. Some are tiny little faux pearls and some are dark rhinestones. The faux pearls give the top an extra air of sophistication while the dark rhinestones offer contrast to the pearl and champagne color.
I wasn’t sure about the grey, knit cardigan for this look but it’s what I had readily available that morning. Like I said before, I was a little surprised that I got some many compliments on a look that I was iffy about so it was a nice boost!
