Evangeline’s Heaven is a YA fantasy book that ke Evangeline’s Heaven is a YA fantasy book that kept me engaged from start to finish 📖. Evangeline lives in one of the seven heavens and is the daughter of Lucifer. She has always felt a little like an outcast because she is half Commoner (from her dad) and half Dominion (from her late mom). Dominions are a higher class of angel 👼🏼. She has never felt very welcome in other community, but her father has always shown her love. On her 18th birthday, her father visits and tells her he is on the verge of being able to win the war. They are fighting for Commoners to be treated like equals to Dominions 🗡. When parting from Evangeline, Lucifer gets attacked by his former best friend and leader of God’s army, Gabriel and his son Michael (an old schoolmate of Evangeline’s). Now Evangeline must find her father to help him, but the more she learns in her journey and the more she accepts Michael’s help, the less sure she is of her father’s intentions and true nature. ✨ I really enjoyed this novel. I wanted to keep reading to see what would happen next and if this fantasy novel would ultimately portray Lucifer as good or bad! “Reading wasn’t about what it meant, at least “Reading wasn’t about what it meant, at least not at first. It was about what it felt like.” - Bookmarked ✨ This quote really resonated with me because it’s actually sort of my philosophy when it comes to how I rate books. For me, personally, it doesn’t matter how well written or developed a story is necessarily – it’s more about how a book makes me feel. The book can be full of cliches or be predictable, but if I couldn’t put it down or found myself rereading parts over and over again, then it’s probably a 5 star for me! ⭐️# I was sent Bookmarked months ago and had an excerpt of it up on my blog when it was a new release, but I only got to reading it last week. This memoir is really interesting, but I ended up skimming more than reading just because I feel like I’m more of a memoir person if it’s someone I already know/am invested in. Anyone else? In the Weeds by @authorbkborison is the second in In the Weeds by @authorbkborison is the second in the Lovelight Farms series. I really enjoyed Lovelight Farms so I knew I would like this one, but I wasn’t expecting how much I would love it!! 🧡🧡 In the Weeds follows Beckett and Evelyn who we met in the first book. Beckett is one of Stella’s partners in the farm and Evelyn is a social media influencer. Last summer they met while both away in Maine and had a wild weekend together, which was out of character for them both. After an abrupt end, they were shocked when Evelyn showed up to the farm in the first book because of a Christmas contest Stella had entered the farm into. Now months have gone by and they still think of each other. In fact, the last time Evelyn was happy was at the farm🎄. Burnt out from her job, Evelyn decides to take a break and go back to Inglewild and inevitably to Beckett 💗. Beckett is a bit of a grump, but he is internally overjoyed that Evelyn is back, but will she stay? Evelyn loves being around Beckett, but can he ever get over the fact that she left him when they first got together? Can he help her find her happy? 🥰💖 I loved this book and Beckett and Evelyn! This is great for fans of second chance romance and forced proximity!
