Lace Cardigan
How was everyone’s first week of spring? After a few freezing mornings, I think it’s finally starting to warm up for the season here. Well, at least consistently above 50 next week. I do still have a few cold or cool weather outfits to share though. The look I’m sharing today is actually perfect for the transitional weather. This long cardigan features a lace bottom half, which I think is so different and fun. I decided to do a whole look with these light colors. The cream cardigan, light pink/purple lace-topped top, twilight mauve pants, and taupe ankle boots work well together to create this cool toned, dreamy look. Cardigan: LC Lauren Conrad…

Funnel Neck Sweater
I want to start off this post by saying I don’t know why this sweater is called a “funnel neck sweater” because it looks like a cowl neck to me. My brother got this sweater for me for Christmas along with the hoodie I shared on here the other day. When I opened the box and saw the sweater I said something about how I like cowl necks and he said, “what’s a cowl neck? This is a funnel neck” to which I replied “What’s a funnel neck? This is a cowl neck”. Anyway, J.Crew lists this sweater, and many more like it on their site, as funnel neck sweaters.…

Tiny Leaf Print
In a world and time where bigger is supposedly better and bold prints are always in our faces, sometimes it’s nice to scale back and take a simple approach. Enter this short sleeve hi-lo blouse. The blouse is soft to the touch with a loose fit and a simple yet pretty tiny leaf design printed all over. Easily dressed up or down, I wore this to work with black pants and flats. I find the print adorable and would wear it in a long-sleeve blouse and/or dress! Have a wonderful rest of the weekend! I Love Dress Down Days
I love dress down days at work. It’s true. Not only can I wear more casual clothes, but dress down days also mean it’s Friday! If you have been following my blog since last year, you may remember that on Fridays I’m allowed to dress down as long as I wear my school shirt. However, we’re given new staff shirts every year and it usually takes a month or more for them to come in so until then I have much more choice! Sure, I could wear previous years’ shirts but why would I do that when I can wear whatever shirt (work appropriate of course) that I want? My number…

Emmy Fashion: My Picks
I’ve loved award shows for as long as I can remember. Aside from my enjoyment of watching the actual award show (I mostly loved the openings because they’re usually funny and sometimes have some sort of funny musical number) I loved the red carpet pre-show as well. Even as a little girl I loved watching the red carpet to see what everyone was wearing and I loved how glamorous everyone looked. So it comes as no surprise that I was looking forward to this year’s Emmy Awards. Below are my picks for best dressed! Julia Roberts in Elie Saab – I think a short dress is so fresh looking and…

Wedding Weekend Part 3: What I Wore
For my final post about my friend’s wedding weekend I’ll be highlighting my looks/what I wore. I didn’t think, until after the fact, to document what I wore on the plane to and from Chicago, but next time I travel I’ll remember. Then there were some random things I wore to dance practice and stuff (we did a surprise dance for the couple at the reception), but here are my main looks of the weekend. On Saturday, we went sightseeing around the city. I wanted to wear something comfortable enough to be walking in throughout the afternoon, but also stylish enough to wear to dinner and to a bar afterwards…
