Wedding Weekend Part 3: What I Wore

For my final post about my friend’s wedding weekend I’ll be highlighting my looks/what I wore. I didn’t think, until after the fact, to document what I wore on the plane to and from Chicago, but next time I travel I’ll remember. Then there were some random things I wore to dance practice and stuff (we did a surprise dance for the couple at the reception), but here are my main looks of the weekend.

On Saturday, we went sightseeing around the city. I wanted to wear something comfortable enough to be walking in throughout the afternoon, but also stylish enough to wear to dinner and to a bar afterwards because we wouldn’t be going back to the hotel.

 I decided to wear Paris Blues skinny jeans, gladiator type sandals by Mia from DSW, and a peplum top from Loft. I didn’t take a picture of my makeup on this day, but it is basically the same as what you’ll see later on, but toned down for a daytime look and Urban Decay’s Naked Basics palette on the eyes.

The next night was the Mehndi and I borrowed an outfit from a friend.

Face: Clinique Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup (last thing you want when you’re away is to break out!), Smashbox HD Concealer, Tarte Clean Slate Poreless Primer, Bare Minerals Well Rested, Benefit Erase Paste, Neutrogena pressed powder, Bare Minerals Luminzer, Flower Beauty – Blush/Bronzer duo in Shimmering Goddess, L’oreal Magic Lumi Primer (used as a liquid highlighter), MAC Fix+

Lips: L’oreal Colour Riche Balm in Tender Mauve

The next day I wore a sari, also borrowed from the same friend, to the ceremony. Luckily both outfits fit perfectly! For both the Mehndi and for the ceremony I wore gold open-toed heels by Kelly and Katie from DSW. For my makeup, I basically wore the same as the night before except I switched out the blush/bronzer with one by ELF and on my lips I wore Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Super Natural.

Finally, my outfit for the reception!

And my friend did my hair with her wand.
