    Multicolored Skirt Keyhole Dress

If you caught my Instastories over the weekend you may have seen the sneak peek I posted of this dress. This one: Let me just start off by saying I absolutely love this dress and it was the perfect dress for me! So back in March or April I was looking for a dress for my friends’ weddings. I bought 2 dresses from Lord & Taylor for 2 of the 3 weddings I had coming up – I planned to re-wear a dress from a few years ago to the other wedding. Two weeks ago I shared the black & gold dress I wore to wedding #2 of the spring,…

Royal Wedding: Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Recap

Did you watch the Royal Wedding yesterday? The coverage started here on the east coast at 5am and I did not wake up that early, but I did wake up at 7:30 and watched from the beginning of what I recorded. Since I could fast forward, I was able to skip over some of the boring parts. I mostly wanted to just see the people arriving and pick out all the famous people, and then of course all the wedding stuff with the royals like their arrivals and the ceremony. After the wedding was over, I immediately began rounding up photos to recap the wedding. Before I get in to…

    Sequins + Tulle

If you watched my Instastories over the weekend you probably caught one of my various photos and videos from my friend’s beautiful wedding. Today I’m sharing my wedding guest look! I began looking for a dress for the wedding in the late spring because I didn’t know how long it would take me to find one I liked, plus I would be away for a week at the beginning of July and I didn’t want to be rushing and stressed to find something. I didn’t quite know what I wanted, but I did know that I what I really wanted was something with mixed textures i.e. solid top and feathered skirt.…

    Photo Challenge: Ambience

It’s Friday! Short work weeks are always weird. At first you’re thinking “Oh it’s already the middle of the week, this is great!” and then the next day you’re thinking “Why is this week dragging?” Well this week is even weirder for me because I have to go to work tomorrow for a parent event. I’m probably going to be all thrown off for most of the weekend. But today is still Friday which means it’s Photo Challenge Friday. This past week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post was “Ambience” and unlike last week when I had to really think for a while about what photo to use, I knew…

I was way too tired last night to try to begin watching but I saw people on Twitter last night before bed complaining because they thought it would be released at midnight eastern time, but it was pacific so they would have to wait til 3 am to watch! I have so many plans the rest of this weekend though that I think it’s…

    Clara Silk Chiffon

It’s back to work for me today after a long weekend away for my friend’s wedding and visiting family. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a few photos. The wedding was for my oldest friend in the world. We’ve known each other and been good friends since we were toddlers! Today, I’m sharing my wedding guest look. I wore a silk chiffon dress I got on sale from J.Crew Factory in the shade “dark cove” called the “Clara” dress. It is a rich blue color with a sweetheart neckline and blue sheer see-through material at the décolletage, shoulders, and shoulder blades/upper back in the back. The…

Wedding [Guest] Look: Floral Pleated Maxi

Over the weekend one of my closest friends got married in a beautiful backyard wedding. The wedding was a small gathering of the couple’s closest family and friends and took place in the backyard of their new home. Since it was a low-key affair, this Floral Pleated Maxi Dress was the perfect dress to wear for the day. Dress: Macy’s | Ring: Macy’s | Shoes: DSW | Purse: DSW The dress was a simple floral design with pleated skirt and keyhole neckline. The back had a overlapping design with a tie. I decided to wear pink wedges for a bright contrast to the soft blue/green dress. To match, I wore a pink cocktail ring.…
