    Met Gala 2018

This is coming a day late, but I didn’t have a chance to go through all the Met Gala looks until yesterday. The theme this year was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & the Catholic Imagination” so think over the top, ornate, rich fabric looks. For some reason renaissance looks come to mind for me. I’ve rounded up some looks I personally loved below. First up, Blake Lively looked amazing as usual in Atelier Versace. I loved every inch of this dress. I read somewhere that she needed to ride in a bus because her gown wouldn’t fit in a regular car. Not sure if that was a joke or not, but I…

    Met Gala 2017

The Met Gala red carpet is always fun to watch because the fashion is so different than award show red carpets. The Met Gala is a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. Since it is for the Costume Institute, there is always a theme every year for both the gala itself and the Costume Exhibit at the museum and the red carpet tends to be more artistic to fit the theme. Futuristic style isn’t normally my cup of tea, but I think that’s only if it’s too out there. I have picked out a handful (ok, more like a dozen or so) looks that stood out to me and that I truly loved seeing. I’m a big fan of actress Chloe Grace Moretz and I think…

    Met Gala 2015 Fashion Picks

Last night was the annual Met Gala or Met Ball. I’ve said before that it is a dream of mine to attend New York Fashion Week (or any official Fashion Week show in any city for that matter!), but another dream is to attend the Met Gala. For those of you who don’t know, the Met Gala is an annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. I’ve seen tweets all day today comparing this event to the “Super Bowl of Fashion”. The Met Gala is known to be an event where attendees, mostly celebrities, dress in much more artsy, avante garde pieces than the standard red carpet. Last…
