    Baked Chicken Flautas

I’m back with another food post that is perfect for the fall and if you are looking for some more Sunday football food ideas, this one is for you. I found this recipe for Baked Chicken Flautas through Pinterest last year and have made it a handful of times and it never disappoints. I followed the recipe (linked above) pretty closely but made minor adjustments. Follow along to see what I did! First, I minced garlic, diced an onion, and shredded some chicken. I went the semi-home made route and bought a rotisserie chicken. In a skillet, I cooked the onion and garlic until soft and then added the corn. After a…

    Casa Maya

Back in August I went to a new to me restaurant, Casa Maya, with my friend who has been there multiple times. This little Mexican restaurant sits right in the middle of what seems like a quiet neighborhood. It’s quaint but so strange because the restaurant sits in a lot of its own in the middle of a sort of fork in the road with houses all around and a church across the street. But enough about the location, let’s get to what I ate! The restaurant was decorated in a really cute way inside and I loved the tiled tables. The tortilla chips and salsa were fresh. They were especially…

    Rosalita’s Roadside Cantina

When you have friends that have moved a little farther away you have to find places to eat that are somewhere between you location-wise. On one of my recent lunch outings with a friend we went to Rosalita’s Roadside Cantina. The inside of the restaurant and some of the menu reminds me of another popular Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurant near me that is well-loved by many, Jose Tejas. At the risk of being yelled at by some of my friends next time they see me, I don’t really get the hype about Jose Tejas. Yes, it’s good, but it’s not so ridiculously good that it’s worth the 2 hour wait (yes, I’ve…

  • Toloache - Enchiladas Borrachas

Earlier this year I went into the city (New York City) to celebrate my friend’s 30th birthday. I mentioned it in a fashion post (here) and a photo challenge post (here). We ate dinner at Toloache, a Mexican restaurant, and I’m finally getting around to posting about it. The restaurant is fairly small. Although it has two floors the space is not that large so even though we had reservations for our party of 10 we had to wait a bit for there to be space to put together tables for us especially because the restaurant seemed to be quite popular. I loved the ambience and interior decor of the…

    Elote Cafe

Happy 4th of July to all my American friends! I got back from Sedona last night and I’m back on the road today. I’m heading to Toronto today for a few days for my cousin’s wedding. Oof, spending the next 10 hours in a car after traveling by plane yesterday is not something I’m looking forward to. But moving on, like I mentioned in my post yesterday where I talked about my last day in Sedona, I went to Elote Cafe for dinner that night. When looking up restaurants in Sedona for my trip, I came across Elote Cafe with rave reviews and so many people saying this was the place…
