Dinner & Hadestown

One of my best friends and I have made it a thing the past 2 years to pick out a Broadway show we want to see and then head out to the city for dinner and a show. Back in the spring we saw Six and loved it. This time we decided to go during my birthday week. We went to Toloache for a delicious Mexican dinner and then went to see Hadestown. It was a very humid day in the city but we had a good time catching up, eating yummy food, and seeing the show. Admittedly the show as not our favorite and we were happy that we were both on the same page about it. I felt like the beginning was confusing and I only really liked 1 song so it’s not the kind of show that I’ll be playing the soundtrack unfortunately. I know the show is based on the greek myth about Orpheus and Eurydice and I know how the myth ends but I guess I was hoping the show would rewrite the ending haha. But, the show was artistic and the cast was really talented!
