Finding Affordable Ways To Show Off Your Photos

    March 4, 2019 /

(Image Credit) Digital photography has done an awful lot to change the way that people take their pictures. Opening the doors to loads more storage space, the ability to easily edit images after they are taken, and opportunities to delete photos, this sort of hobby doesn’t have to be budgeting anywhere near as strictly as it used to be. Of course, though, when it comes to bringing a digital image into the real world, things can start to get a little more expensive. To help you out with this, this post will be exploring some of the most affordable ways to start enjoying your own photo prints without having to…

    #fbf Mums

    November 30, 2018 /

For this flashback Friday I thought it’d be nice to revisit fall since we’re in the midst of holiday and winter content now. Here’s a look of a pot of multicolor mums I got back in October. When I got the plant it was just buds so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out they were multicolor blooms! I love the mix of pink, red, and orange. So pretty! Sadly my mums are no longer and not because it got cold. The snow we got a few weeks ago crushed them and basically broke my poor plant in half! Have a great Friday!

So happy today is Friday! This 4 day week hasn’t been too bad, but life has been so hectic lately that I will take any kind of break I can get. Today’s photo challenge response is sadly the last one! The Daily Post has decided to end their weekly challenges on WordPress, which is a bummer as I really enjoyed using the photo challenges as an excuse to take new photos and/or look through all my old ones to find a photo to use. I thought about finding new photo challenges to take part in as there are so many on the Internet I’m sure, but I think what I…

Photo Challenge: Place in the World

    May 18, 2018 /

Happy Friday! It may almost be the weekend, but it’s actually the start of a very busy week (or two or three) for me. I have 3 weddings to go to in the span of 4 weekends plus lots of wedding related events and other social events to go to during the weeks. Oh yeah and regular/work/personal things to get done. Hopefully I don’t completely burn out! But let me take one thing at a time so as to keep myself from going crazy – starting with today’s photo challenge response. The Daily Post’s photo challenge last week was “Place in the World“. I decided to use a photo from…

    May 11, 2018 /

It’s finally Friday, everyone! This week has felt exceptionally long and yesterday was particularly stressful and crazy, but that’s for another day. Hopefully today will be a much calmer day at work and then I’ve got dinner plans and a bonfire at work/school so at least those are things to look forward to! If you had asked me a few years ago if I would ever watch a “movie under the stars” and it be broad daylight at 10pm, I would say that’s crazy – highly “Unlikely“. But, lo and behold, I was on an Alaskan cruise 2 summers ago and watched two or three movies under the stars on…

It’s finally Friday! It’s been one of those weeks where every day I thought for a split second that the next day was Friday and unfortunately, it wasn’t. But it is Friday, so let’s get to today’s photo challenge response! Last week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post was “Lines” and I really did not know what I was going to use for my photo. I was scrolling through photos on my phone and saw this photo I snapped last summer at a Starbucks. This wall art of metal lines curled up to look like a steaming hot cup of coffee is curled around light bulbs for a wall art/light…

    April 27, 2018 /

Happy Friday! Any big plans this weekend? It’s been another week where I have been going to sleep too late, so I’m looking forward to sleeping in a little tomorrow morning. I’ve got an early appointment Sunday morning so tomorrow is my only chance! Let’s get to my Friday photo challenge response. Last week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post was “Prolific“. Prolific can mean plentiful, abundant. Whenever I think of the word “prolific”, it makes me think of famous people and their careers – if they produce a lot of work, that is. The photo I’m using is from my trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (you…

    April 20, 2018 /

Happy Friday! It’s still not feeling totally spring-like here yet. The flowering trees are blooming which is nice, but there’s still no leaves on the other trees. I’m still patiently waiting. But, since most other places in the country are experiencing spring it seems right that the photo challenge last week on The Daily Post was “Awakening“. A majority of the trees might still be bare, but spring flowers are available at the stores and I couldn’t help but pick up some tulips recently. Tulips are one of my favorite spring flowers. They are so pretty! They definitely remind me of Easter, which I always associate with the start of spring.…

The Kingdom of the Feared is the last book in the The Kingdom of the Feared is the last book in the Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy by @kerrimaniscalco and I loved it 🖤. Each book was better than the last! I don't want to spoil it, but the book picks up exactly where Kingdom of the Cursed left off and now Emilia is more determined than ever to break the curse that is limiting her powers, messing with her memory, and also limiting Wrath and his brothers from their full power and freedom. Emilia works to uncover her true self. There were so many twists in this book that I didn't see coming and I loved every second of it. Emilia and Wrath were perfection and I loved their love for each other 🥹. The spice continues to kick up in this book and was so good 💗.

I already miss this world and am sad that the series is over, but I can't wait for the spinoff books! My full review is on the blog ✨

It’s been a few months since I’ve done one of It’s been a few months since I’ve done one of these posts! “You’ll Get Over It” was my most played song in recent weeks and it made me think of It Happened One Summer 📚🎶

It reminds me of how Piper is sent away from her wealthy lifestyle in LA to a small fishing town in Washington state. Her whole life as she’s known it is gone, she’s heartbroken, and has no idea what she’s doing with her life, but she comes into her own in Westport. She learns more about who she is and what she wants. She learns to be independent. And she finds love in a grumpy sea captain. Her life ends up being better than ever! 💗

3 Count by @nikkicastleromance is the third and l 3 Count by @nikkicastleromance is the third and latest book in the Fight Game series. I’ve loved them all so far and this one is no exception! ❤️📚

3 Count follows Aiden, whom we’ve met in the previous books. He trains at the same MMA gym as the previous main characters and is a college senior. One day he meets Dani, a photojournalist also in her early 20s with an adventurous streak. After hooking up in a restricted area and running away from security, the two don’t exchange contact info but can’t stop thinking about one another. When they run into each other one day their chemistry is undeniable, but neither wants a relationship so they enter into a friends with benefits situation and you can guess how that goes! 📸🥊

I really liked the storyline and the development of their friendship and feelings for one another. I especially loved Aiden! He was just such an all around good guy 💕.

Read this if you want a spicy sports romance and/or the friends with benefits to lovers trope! My full review is on the blog ✨

Kingdom of the Cursed by @kerrimaniscalco is the s Kingdom of the Cursed by @kerrimaniscalco is the second book in the Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy and I absolutely loved it 🖤. I loved the first book, but this one I loooooved. This fantasy romance picks up right where Kingdom of the Wicked left off. Emilia is now in the Seven Circles with Wrath after making a deal with Pride, much to Wrath's dislike. When she arrives in House Wrath, he begins training her so she can be prepared to meet his brothers and avoid them using their sins to take advantage of or control her. 📖

I loved the twists and turns as Emilia works to still unravel the mystery of her sister's murder and the curse. The tension between her and Wrath is even better in this book! 😍🥵 The details in the food, the houses, and Emilia's gowns every day was amazing. This book definitely took a jump in spice level and went from a steamy YA first book to New Adult this book and I loved it! I can't wait to finish the last book! My full review is on the blog 📚✨

Upcoming historical fiction novel The Lioness of L Upcoming historical fiction novel The Lioness of Leiden was so engaging. I didn't really know anything about the Dutch Resistance during WWII so this was very interesting to me. Robert Loewen's novel is inspired by his mother-in-law who served as a courier for the Dutch Resistance. The novel follows a few different characters, but focuses on Hetty - a young university student in Leiden, Netherlands. When the war reaches the Netherlands Hetty, like many others, want to do something to fight the Nazis. Her boyfriend, Karl, introduces her to the Resistance. After he disappears, Hetty is more determined than ever to do what she can to defeat the Nazis and the Germans occupying her country. 📖

The novel has sad parts as expected with the subject, but I was in awe of the risks Hetty and the others took to do what they could to help. Even after losing loved ones, it only fueled Hetty's motivation. The novel comes out on April 4. My full review is on the blog ✨
