Rainy Hong Kong Day + Lei Yue Mun
Saturday was another on/off rainy day in Hong Kong, but we didn’t let that slow us down. As mentioned in previous posts, Hong Kong is made up of different islands. We took a taxi to Lei Yue Mun, which I knew was across the harbor since we took a tunnel there, but I wasn’t sure exactly where it was. My dad said something to me about being by an inlet, but I looked it up on Google and learned that it’s a short channel separating Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. It’s also a fishing village, which I knew since we were going there specifically for a seafood lunch. While there…

Online or In-Store Shopping?
Do you prefer to shop online or in a physical store? It’s a question that comes up quite a bit these days with the ever growing popularity and convenience of online shopping. SwiftMoney has been interested in whether people are more in to “retail or e-tail” and it’s pretty interesting to look at the statistics. I love looking at statistics like this and truth be told I thought that the percentage of people who prefer online shopping would be much higher! Unplanned Shopping Trip & Haul
So this past Friday I really had no intention of shopping, yet it ended up happening – let me explain! A girl friend and I had talked about going to see Into the Woods since before winter break began. We made plans to go this past Friday to a matinee show. When we got there, about 20 minutes before the movie, we walked into the theater (inside a small mall nearby) and saw wall to wall people! Seriously, it’s like everyone decided to go to the movies that day. We couldn’t believe it – it was 1 in the afternoon! Needless to say, the movie was sold out and the next…

Sephora VIB Haul
A couple of weeks ago I got the invitation in the mail for the Sephora VIB Sale. Since Sephora only has these 20% off sales two or three times a year, I definitely take advantage of them. I use these opportunities to stock up on items I’m running low on and buy some more high-end items since I have the discount. This time around I got: Caudalie Grape Water – I recently dedicated a post to this. I’m running low and wanted to purchase a back-up. Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con No. 7 Plush Shadow (The Dreamer) – I have been wanting to try something from Marc Jacobs Beauty for a…

Sephora VIB Rouge Event: OOTD & Haul
Yesterday I went to the Sephora VIB Rouge closed door shopping event. Thanks to a few splurges on myself and birthday and Christmas presents for family and friends I earned an invite to the event. It was nice to look/shop around the store before the mall even opened and there were plenty of sales associates and even brand reps to help. There was also pastries, water and coffee, but I was too busy wandering around the store to partake. If you spent a minimum $35 you got a goodie bag and let’s face it – I got one because 1) it’s not difficult to spend $35 at Sephora and 2)…
