    Facial Steamer

Happy Friday! It’s been a busy week and this is going to be a bit of a busy weekend again. Can I just get a free day?! I’m hoping for a snow day at some point this winter before spring comes. Anyway, I have been intrigued by at-home facial steamers for about a year. I kept seeing people talk about them on Instagram and wanted to try one for myself, but I kept forgetting/putting off buying one. Facial steaming can help unclog pores and hydrate your skin. For Christmas, I got an Amazon gift card from a student so I decided to treat myself to a facial steamer. I searched…

Tula Instant De-Puff Eye Renewal Serum

You’ve probably heard a lot of people, especially bloggers, rave about Tula online for the past few years. I finally tried the brand in the fall when I got the Brightening Eye Balm. I’ve been using another Tula product the past few weeks and it just so happens to be another eye product. I have been wanting to try the Instant De-Puff Eye Renewal Serum for a while because I love eye products and the idea of the cooling tip seemed so refreshing. Here’s how the product is described: TULA’s Multi-Spectrum Eye Renewal Serum is like a cup of coffee for your dark circles. Refresh the look of tired eyes…

    VBeam Laser Session 3

I had my 3rd VBeam laser session last week and I wanted to give you a brief update! So after my 2nd session I had some swelling and a very dark bruise. My doctor said she had increased the setting of the laser, so knowing this when I went for the 3rd session I told the nurse about what had happened last time. She said it was good that I let them know so they can adjust accordingly. She told me that a lot of times they do the 1st session on the standard setting and if that goes well they sometimes increase the power for the 2nd session, but…

Clinique Take off the Day Cleansing Oil

We’ve all heard about how makeup wipes aren’t the greatest for our skin, but when I was finally convinced to stop using them (aside from when traveling or in a pinch) of course I had just bought a Costco pack of Neutrogena wipes that I wasn’t about to let go to waste. So after I finished those 114 wipes, I would finally be on my way to testing the waters of cleansing oils. The first cleansing oil I’m trying is the Clinique Take off the Day Cleansing Oil. Something I had to get used to is that you use cleansing oils on dry skin. It’s definitely a weird feeling at first to…

    Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk

Argan oil, essential oils, and whatever else kind of oil that’s out there have been big in skincare in recent years. And when it comes to argan oil, Josie Maran is the brand that immediately comes to mind for me. I’ve wanted to try the Pure Argan Milk for a while because it sounds different and looks different with it being a more creamy serum than the regular oil. I hauled it a while back but only recently started using it once I finished up some other serums. The Argan Milk is supposed to offer deep hydration and since I’ve been dealing with drier skin than usual lately, I thought…

    Honey & Lemon Foot Bath

I think most of us who love flip flop weather can agree that flip flops and sandals aren’t always the kindest to our feet. My feet have been looking a little rough lately with all the traveling and walking in sandals, heels, and flip flops. Last summer, I tried a milk & sugar foot spa treatment , which worked out really well but I wanted to try something different so I began searching online for some at-home foot treatments. One of the key things I look for in these treatments are that all the ingredients are easily found in the home. I don’t want to have to go out and buy…

    Product Spotlight: Caudalie Grape Water

Sunday already – the weekends always go by too fast! I’m not going to say “Happy Sunday” since I’m not too thrilled the work week starts up again tomorrow! Anyway, let’s forget about that for a moment and take a look at Caudalie’s Grape Water. Over the summer I wrote about Urban Decay’s B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray, which I love. I used that up and while I have a backup of that, I also had another spray in my stash that I wanted to try out. Enter the Grape Water spray. The spray claims  that it is: A 100 percent grape water toner enriched with moisturizing polysaccharides and mineral salts.…

    Dove One Shower Challenge

Way back at the end of August – I say “way back” because it seems like forever ago – the Emmy Awards took place. I tweeted that I would be posting my Emmy Fashion picks in an upcoming blog post and Dove replied to me suggesting I participate in their One Shower Challenge. Of course, I said yes! The Dove website said it would take around 6-8 weeks to get my sample in the mail. I almost forgot about it until the little box arrived in the mail last week. Dove sent a very nice sample size. The Dove body wash has a creamy consistency. It looks a little bit…
