Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops
I first heard of Isle of Paradise last summer. A lot of people on Instagram were raving about the self-tanning mousse, body butter, and drops. I didn’t get it last summer and by the time I was convinced I wanted to try it, it was fall and I figured I didn’t need it since I wouldn’t be going bare-legged anytime soon. But now the warm weather is back and I don’t want super pale legs until I can get a tan.
For a few years I’ve used the Jergen’s Natural Glow lotion, but sometimes that makes my skin blotchy so I picked up the self tanning drops during the last Sephora sale. There are 3 options. Light – Sunkissed Glow, Medium – Golden Glow, and Dark – Bronze Glow. I got the Medium – Golden Glow.

Here’s how Isle of Paradise describes the drops: “Self-Tanning Drops were created to work with your unique skin tone to visibly brighten, reduce redness, and even tone so you can glow your way. These drops are infused with natural skin-loving ingredients like avocado, coconut, and chia seed for a hydrated, even and long-lasting tan with no streaks, stains, or smells.“
These drops are so easy to use. All you need to do is mix it with your body lotion and apply like normal. I only put 1 to 2 drops because I don’t want to get really dark, I just want some color so that I don’t look so pale (primarily my legs). I haven’t noticed any streaks or blotches. The only mistake was not rubbing it in well enough on top of my foot once so for a few days I had a darker spot there and on the side of my foot as well as on one of my finger knuckles from not washing my hands well enough after applying. But those all went away after about two days.
After using the drops for about 2 weeks already and I really like it. I can attest to the description that there are no streaks, smells, and doesn’t stain my clothing. It’s been hydrating and hasn’t dried out my skin or anything. I highly recommend and I definitely want to try out some of their other products.
