Shiseido Urban Environment SPF

Sun protection is so important so that you don’t get any sun spots or pimples don’t scar from the sun, as well as sunburn and skin cancer. I always try to use a daily moisturizer in the mornings that has SPF in it, but sometimes some moisturizers do not contain it. I was sent the Shiseido Urban Environment SPF and I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks now.

Here is how Shiseido describes the product:

Water- and sweat-resistant, this fast-absorbing formula guards against UVA and UVB rays minus any chalky or sticky residue. Peony root extract and sebum-absorbing powder eliminate excess oil and reduce the appearance of pores, while scutellaria baicalensis extract, used for centuries in Asian medicine, helps provide a more youthful appearance. Developed in the bustling urban metropolis that is modern Tokyo, antioxidant rose apple leaf extract and thiotaurine were added to defend against skin-damaging free radicals and pollution.

I have to agree that the product is fast-absorbing. I don’t find it heavy on my skin at all or sticky in the slightest. The instructions say to shake it well before using and the little bottle makes that clicking sound when you shake it like little balls inside. The product has a thin consistency and is easy to work into your face. The only thing I don’t care for is that slight sunscreen smell. I was hoping it wouldn’t smell like sunscreen but it does have a slight smell.

Overall, I do like the product. Would I pay $35 for it? Eh, not sure about that, but for now I’m enjoying it.
