7th Heaven Charcoal & Black Sugar Peel Off Mask
I hope your week is off to a good start so far! I’m writing today about this new mask I received – the 7th Heaven Charcoal & Black Sugar Peel Off Mask. I love peel off masks. There’s just something so satisfying about peeling something off your face – like with nose strips! I think it’s because you can imagine actually peeling off impurities from your face. So when I was offered these charcoal & black sugar peel off masks, I really wanted to try them.
This peel off mask claims that it: “takes cleansing activated charcoal to draw out deep down dirt and impurities and mixes it with a spoonful of Black sugar to revitalize, hydrate and smooth. You’ll feel squeaky clean and sensationally soft.”
I’ve tried this mask once so far so this is just a first impressions post. I applied the mask on my face from the sachet. It spread pretty easily and was comparable in texture with other charcoal masks. I waited for it to dry and make my face feel tight before removing it. I caught up on Instagram and did some reading before I peeled it off. I started from the edges of my face and peeled it off in as big as possible sections. It did take a little while especially because you want to peel slowly.
My face definitely felt softer afterwards and the next morning. Since I only used it once I can’t speak to the long-term benefits of using this on a weekly basis. But I can tell you that it didn’t make me break out or anything so that’s good.
I really like this mask. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the sweet smell. I know it’s made with sugar, but it has a really sweet scent that kind of lingers. Even after I peeled the mask off and washed off the little bits that I couldn’t peel, I smelled that sugary scent. It’s not bad, but I don’t love it. That’s the only thing I would change!
