Aveeno 60 Second In-Shower Facial

Aveeno 60-Second In-Shower Facial

Happy Saturday! Yesterday was my first day back to work after two snow days and I felt all sorts of out of it. Being back at work was fine, but I just wasn’t in the best mood all day and for no particular reason. I guess it was just one of those days, but today’s a new day and hopefully it’s a good one!

If you have been following me for a while, then you know I love skincare and I’m always trying to improve my skin and complexion. I don’t remember where I first heard about this Aveeno 60-Second In-Shower Facial – it may have been through another blogger, but I don’t remember who. Anyway, when I was at Target recently I was looking for another Aveeno product, which I couldn’t find, and came across this in-shower facial on the shelf and remembered that I had heard good things. So I picked it up and have been using it for a few weeks now and wanted to share my thoughts!

Here’s the description of the product:

New AVEENO® ACTIVE NATURALS® POSITIVELY RADIANT® 60 Second In-Shower Facial reveals healthy, glowing skin 4x faster than at home masks and peels*. This oil-free facial treatment works with the steam of your shower to deeply but gently exfoliate all traces of dirt, oil, and dead skin. The non-comedogenic cleanser is formulated with ACTIVE NATURALS® Soy and lemon peel extracts that transform dull, tired-looking skin into brighter, more naturally radiant, and velvety soft skin in just one minute.

The facial is really easy. Massage it in circular motions and leave on for 1 minute before rinsing it off. Aveeno says to use the facial 1-2 times a week in place of your normal cleanser. I don’t have enough time to use it during the weekday mornings because even though 60 seconds is a short amount of time, I already wake up at 5:30 every morning for work and can’t think about another product that early. So I use it on the weekend and if I use it during the week it’s when I take a shower after working out after work.

When you massage it into your face you can feel the little gritty pieces used to exfoliate your skin. As you massage it you can feel your skin getting warmer. I normally will put conditioner in my hair, then do the facial, then rinse out my conditioner and then wash my face. It’s a process that works for me. Immediately upon rinsing my face my skin feels incredibly soft. I love how my skin feels after using it. I’ve only used it about 6 times now since I can only use it 2 times a week so I don’t know about the long-term effects on my skin but I know that on days I use it, my skin feels softer and looks brighter.

If you have any suggestions on other products you think I’d like for exfoliating and detoxing your skin, let me know!
