Book Review: Paisley Rabbit and the Treehouse Contest
Last week, I shared a children’s book to celebrate Read Across America. Well today I have 1 more children’s book to share! Paisley Rabbit and the Treehouse Contest is a short tale about Paisley Rabbit, a young girl rabbit, participating in a contest with her neighborhood friends to see who could make the best treehouse. The story is easy for young kids to relate to as it touches on so many relatable topics: competition, peers who think they’re better than you (at everything), and working hard to achieve the “impossible” despite what people think.

The story is really cute and I love Paisley Rabbit’s ingenuity and perseverance despite Jimmy Squirrel’s put downs. What I really loved about the book though were the gorgeous and detailed illustrations! Seriously, so beautifully done. Take this illustration of Paisley’s treehouse for example. It almost looks like it’s really illuminating off the page! I wish I was artistic like that!
If you’re ever looking for a children’s story to read or gift to someone Paisley Rabbit and the Treehouse Contest is a good one!
*I received this book complimentary, but all opinions are my own.*
