Food Diary: Ottawa
Back when I went to Chicago for a long weekend, I wrote about how I have this thing about taking pictures of my food when I’m traveling. Naturally, I took various pictures while I was in Ottawa last weekend of food. I didn’t take pictures of every single thing I ate (even I didn’t think it was necessary to take pictures of my hotel breakfast every morning which basically consisted of the same thing every day), but the pictures I did take were more like food highlights of my trip.
Ekko de Brasil – I got an appetizer sampler the night we arrived in town. It is essentially a Brazilian restaurant, but it’s a little weird because they only serve Brazilian food on the weekends hence the fried zucchini, wings, and mozzarella sticks on my plate.
Vittoria Trattoria – There were 19 of us at dinner so we ordered multiples of a bunch of appetizers and entrees to make our own family style type dinner.
So tartufo is one of my favorite desserts. Ever. I know it’s pretty much ice cream, but regardless I’ve always loved it. It was quite different here than what I’ve had in the past. At Vittoria Trattoria it was covered in a chocolate powder instead of a chocolate shell, which is what I’m used to.
Yangtze My family, of course, has to have at least one Chinese meal.
Tucker’s for a buffet type brunch.
The Works – Gourmet Burger Bistro
And that wraps up my last post about my trip to Ottawa! I hope you enjoyed these food snapshots!
