Argan Oil Hair Mask

First off, Happy New Year! Tomorrow I’ll be sharing my whole getting ready, what I wore, what I did etc. of New Year’s Eve (exciting!), but today I’m sharing a product that I’ve been wanting to share with you all for a little while now!

Believe it or not I’ve never used a hair mask before, until this Argan Oil Hair Mask by InstaNatural. I’ve seen plenty of ads for hair masks and beauty bloggers and YouTubers talk about all different kinds. I even remember girls in high school would make their own DIY hair masks. However, I just never did any. So when the opportunity came up to try out this Argan Oil Hair Mask, I jumped on it because I’ve been wanting to try one out.

It comes in a little tub or jar and holds 8oz of product. I know argan oil is all the rage now and has properties that are supposed to be amazing for your hair, skin, nails, etc. This hair mask is supposed to provide intense hydration and nourishment to your hair. This mask contains: Argan Oil, Amino Acid Complex, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Vitamin B5, Jojoba Oil, and Avocado Oil.

I can’t put my finger on exactly what the scent is, but it does have a scent. I think it’s the shea butter that I smell. The consistency is like a body butter. It’s not stiff at all, but creamy. The directions say to put a generous amount in damp hair, leave in for 5-15 minutes and then rinse out. I wasn’t sure how much a generous amount was so I put about a quarter size amount in my palms, rubbed them together, and worked it through my hair from scalp to ends – 3 times. I waited for about 10-12 minutes doing some other things like cutting my nails etc, then I hopped back into the shower and rinsed it all out.

Oh my goodness, guys, let me tell you my hair looked and felt amazing all day! I wasn’t sure what to expect and I thought maybe you had to use it a few times before you really see any results but I was pleasantly surprised. First of all, when I went to comb my hair after I got out of the shower, it was so smooth and there wasn’t a single knot. Then, I blow dried my hair and my hair looked more voluminous, not to mention it was silky smooth and just looked super healthy overall. I asked my mom later on if she noticed any difference in my hair (in case this was all just in my head) but she agreed that it looked really good and she even wanted to try the product out herself!

I am so happy that I got to try this product out and cannot recommend it enough. I think this 8oz is going to go a long way, but when I eventually finish it up I wouldn’t hesitate at all to pick up another one.

I also had the opportunity to try out their Argan Oil which has been great for my dry skin with this cold weather. I would definitely be interested in trying out more from the brand!

Again, Happy New Year to you all and what better way to start of 2015 than with a little pampering in the form of a hair mask?
