60 Second Style: NYFW After Party

How is it only Tuesday? I feel like yesterday was so long and tiring that we should be well into the week by now! I’m not sure if I’m getting a cold or if I have allergies, but all I know is I need a day to just sleep and rest with no work involved.

Anyway, moving on to today’s post. New York Fashion Week is well underway and I have been keeping my eye on the trends so you will for sure be seeing some mention of those in the future. In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to put together a fancy look for the NYFW After Party I’m pretending I’m invited to. Everyone’s keeping an eye out on what’s on the runways and the street style of all the attendees, but what about the after parties?

In the set above, I’ve picked out a mint green pleated BCBG Max Azria dress with lace appliques. Instead of being all matchy matchy with the accessories, I decided to go with this gold and bronze sequins covered clutch with an antique clasp and some peacock detailing. The peacock detailing is what I used to tie it into the dress. The gold and bronze is what I used to play off the color from the jeweled hair pins. I chose black heels to go with the black lace and waist detailing in the dress.
