September 2016 Favorites
Usually I start every monthly favorites post talking about how quickly the month went. While it is hard to believe it’s already October, at the same time this past month at work has been so busy and stressful that I feel like I’ve been back at work for ages already. So it’s a weird feeling with the close of September.
I just have a few favorites this month as I feel like I’ve been running around too much to really think about things I’ve really enjoyed or have any favorites this month.
In September, I finally watched Now You See Me 2 which I really enjoyed and I’m happy I liked because I loved the first one and it would’ve been a huge disappointment if I didn’t like it. But, I did so it worked out! Now since I watched the sequel I, of course, then felt the need to watch the first one again. So I kinda watched them in reverse order, but that’s ok I already knew what happened in the first one.
Did you see Michelle Obama and Ellen Degeneres go to CVS? It is hilarious! That’s another September favorite of mine. It must be so strange for Michelle Obama to go into a store on her own after so many years of being the First Lady. It’s not like she’s never gone shopping or anything before but she’s been in the White House for 8 years and I imagine so many things have changed in that time.
Next up, the candle I’ve been burning is completely season appropriate. Summer Bonfire from Bath & Body Works.
Don’t mind that snowman candle holder in the background! This candle smells so good and has notes of warm woods, orange blossoms, and green leaves. Bonfires always make me think of fall. Back when I was in high school – I won’t say how many years ago that was – my school always had a big bonfire (controlled by the fire department) in our parking lot for Homecoming.
I’ve gone through a few songs I’ve loved this month but the one I’ve been listening to a lot lately is DJ Snake ft. Justin Bieber – “Let Me Love You”
For my last favorite, I don’t have a picture, but they are floss picks. I haven’t written about it on here, but in August I got Invisalign! To give a brief background on this, I had straight teeth growing up which is why my dentist said I didn’t need braces. But did you know that your teeth are always moving? So as I got older my teeth started to shift. My teeth were not horrible or very crooked by any means, but I always had a desire for super straight teeth. So after some research and hearing feedback from my friend who is about to finish up his treatment, I decided to go for a consultation and ultimately to get them. It’s been almost 6 weeks now and so far so good. It’s taken some getting used to and I’ve got a little bit of a lisp going on but I feel like it’s a small price to pay for clear braces and the orthodontist said he predicts my treatment would only be 6-8 months which is incredible. I change the trays every 2 weeks and my first check-up is in 2 weeks so hopefully the doctor will say I’m on track! Fingers crossed!
Oh, so why did I say floss picks? Well, I take out the Invisalign trays before eating and drinking anything other than water. The floss picks are perfect to bring with me to work so I can clean my teeth after lunch at work before putting my trays back in.
That wraps up my short list of September favorites. I will hopefully have more to share for October and I will give my next Invisalign update then!
