This past week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post, “Names“, was a tough one. Aside from going to work and running errands this week, I haven’t gone anywhere so taking new pictures – or at least one that worked for this particular photo challenge – wasn’t really going to happen. So I searched my brain and computer for a picture that I could use. I decided to use this photo from a few years ago when I was on vacation in Amsterdam. The photo is of the iconic “I Amsterdam” sign. Probably one of the most famous signs of a city’s name.
Now, this photo challenge response is sort of cheating (at least in my mind). Don’t get me wrong – I’m not stealing someone else’s photo or anything like that. I had a few photos of this sign but the angles were weird or there were way too many people blocking the sign. This one is the best one. However, this is the one picture of it that I have that I didn’t take because I was walking over to pose in front of it! So this photo was taken by my brother most likely and I’m the person with the bright teal jacket. So, this photo wasn’t taken by me but I’m in it! I know there’s not technically any set rules to these photo challenges as they’re just for fun but in my 2+ years of doing these weekly photo challenges I have always been the sole photographer so I guess that’s why I feel like I’m “cheating”. In any case I hope you enjoy the photo!
