French Country Kitchen Inspiration
This has been a tiring week so far and it’s only Wednesday! So to make the start of this day a little better, let’s get to some home decor inspiration. Do you watch HGTV? I watch it every once in a while – sometimes I’m just in the mood for a marathon viewing of HGTV shows. Kitchens are always my favorite rooms to see and I find myself most drawn to kitchens that are classified as french country. I made plans to make a post with some pictures for inspo and as I scrolled through Pinterest, I thought to myself – what exactly classifies “french country”? I decided to do a quick Google search because I wanted to be more informed, plus it wouldn’t hurt to pass the information along to you in case you’re not sure either!
I found this article , which was perfect because it gave some staples of both french country kitchens and english country. According to the article, french country kitchens feature earthy tones, toile fabrics and orderly florals, farm animal decor, warm reds, mossy greens, scroll work, and moldings among other things.
So now that we all know that, let’s get to some photos I found inspirational for my future kitchen!
This kitchen looks so warm and inviting. The large tree branches make the room seem magical and romantic as well!
I love blue & white pieces and this color scheme in the kitchen looks so classy. I love this sink and the hardware as well.
This long counter is perfect for large families and entertaining. The light fixtures are simple and I love the large windows. So much natural light!
I love this large island and the fireplace in the kitchen! So country chic. The detailing and scroll work on the island and molding are perfection.
This more rustic kitchen is really nice too. I love the exposed brick and the hanging copper pots and pans.
Another kitchen with a large island. I love the glass cabinets doors and all the detailing in the craftsmanship.
This kitchen is a little more country with its red stove and rooster tiling. It’s a much warmer, cozier kitchen.
I love the scrollwork under the counter of this island. It’s the little details that make everything!
For this last kitchen, I love how cozy and inviting it looks. The light pouring in from the window looks so inviting. I love the tiling and the pale green and white color scheme.
What are your thoughts on french country kitchens? Clearly, I love the style. If you’re interested in finding ways to save money on a kitchen renovation check out Designrulz.

I like the rustic look too but I guess it depends on what the rest of my future house looks like so it fits in lol. Thanks!
