Meghan Markle – Royal Tour: Australia & New Zealand

If you know me, you know I love the royal family. One of my most popular blog and Instagram posts over the years has been my post highlighting Kate Middleton’s fashion during her royal tour to Sweden and Norway last year. For the past 2+ weeks, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle embarked on their first royal tour as a married couple to Australia and New Zealand with short trips to Fiji and Tonga. Since their trip just ended, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to highlight Meghan’s fashion choices on the trip. Before I begin, I have to preface this post by saying that I know there are looks missing…

    French Country Kitchen Inspiration

This has been a tiring week so far and it’s only Wednesday! So to make the start of this day a little better, let’s get to some home decor inspiration. Do you watch HGTV? I watch it every once in a while – sometimes I’m just in the mood for a marathon viewing of HGTV shows. Kitchens are always my favorite rooms to see and I find myself most drawn to kitchens that are classified as french country. I made plans to make a post with some pictures for inspo and as I scrolled through Pinterest, I thought to myself – what exactly classifies “french country”? I decided to do a…

    Style Inspiration: Emma Watson

We’ve watched Emma Watson grow up before our eyes. From a pre-teen on the big screen as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films to Belle in the soon-to-be released Beauty and the Beast live-action movie. Aside from her film accomplishments she’s become quite the style icon and someone for women everywhere to look up to for her intelligence, grace, and voice in the fight for equal rights. I’m such an Emma Watson fan so I’m really excited to see her in the new Beauty & the Beast film since it was my favorite Disney movie growing up. I already have plans to see it this Friday! A post on my thoughts on…

Michelle Obama’s Style – Kennedy Center Honors

The Kennedy Center Honors was this past weekend and was the final time Michelle Obama would be attending as FLOTUS. Her style has been beautiful, classic, and sophisticated over the years so all eyes were on her for this event and she did not disappoint. (Photo Credit: MANUEL BALCE CENETA – AP) How elegant and beautiful is this gown? The First Lady stunned in an off-the-shoulder Gucci gown with metallic pink and green floral embroidery. The gown is gorgeous and I love all the intricate detailing. The emerald green color makes me think of Christmas making it perfect for the holiday season, but the pink sort of neutralizes the look which means…

    “The Age of Adaline” Style

Last week I watched the movie “The Age of Adaline”. If you don’t know what the movie is about, it is about Adaline, a woman born in the early 1900s, who after an accident never ages. I thought the concept was cool and it centers around a love story, which always makes me more likely to watch a movie. But what I really loved about this movie was the fashion and Adaline’s style because she lived through decades and decades as a young woman. Adaline was played by Blake Lively, and although I’ll always be a Blair Waldorf fan (#blair&chuckforever), I’ll give Blake Lively/Serena Van Der Woodsen some props for her real life/character’s…

    Off-Duty Model Style

Off-Duty Model Style by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring black shorts I love looking at street fashion and I especially love seeing how models dress when they’re living their every day lives, aka when they’re off-duty. Here’s a shot of the gorgeous Alessandra Ambrosio having a casual day out in LA. I copied her look in this set with a denim bag, ankle strap flat sandals, colorful shorts, a white watch, and a plain white tee. This entire look is extremely easy to copy and entirely doable so we can look like the models too!

    Style Inspiration: Blair Waldorf

Style Inspiration: Blair Waldorf by lifeaccordingtojamie on Polyvore You may have heard actress Leighton Meester aka Blair Waldorf is expecting her first baby with her husband actor Adam Brody. I’m sure their baby is going to be adorable! So this news made me think about her character Blair Waldorf on “Gossip Girl”. I watched “Gossip Girl” religiously when it was on and Blair was my fav. I know a lot of people loved Serena, Blake Lively’s character, but I actually did not like her! I always felt like Serena was always fake and a hypocrite, while Blair was always herself – Queen B! I mean, you could like both of…

Revenge: Emily Thorn/Amanda Clark Style Inspiration

Revenge: Emily Thorn/Amanda Clark Style Inspiration by lifeaccordingtojamie on Polyvore The series finale of Revenge was last Sunday, meaning this past Sunday left a hole in my TV viewing that was once filled with scheming, plot twists, and of course revenge. If you aren’t familiar with the show, the title of my post might be a little confusing. Emily Van Camp is the star of the show and she is Amanda Clark/Emily Thorn. Basically, her real identity is Amanda Clark but as a child her father was framed and her whole life turned upside down. Now as an adult she is on a mission to get revenge and takes on…

    Style Inspiration: Jamie Chung

Style Inspiration: Jamie Chung by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring a bodycon skirt I think I’ve mentioned this once before at some point, but actress Jamie Chung is one of my top style icons. I absolutely love her style and how she can rock all types of styles from classy, formal for an awards show, to casual, boho chic for Coachella. If you haven’t, you definitely need to check out her website where she shares her looks and I personally think she kills it every time. When I decided I wanted to do a style inspiration post based on one of her looks, it was really hard to figure out just what look…
