If you know me, you know I love the royal family. One of my most popular blog and Instagram posts over the years has been my post highlighting Kate Middleton’s fashion during her royal tour to Sweden and Norway last year. For the past 2+ weeks, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle embarked on their first royal tour as a married couple to Australia and New Zealand with short trips to Fiji and Tonga. Since their trip just ended, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to highlight Meghan’s fashion choices on the trip.
Before I begin, I have to preface this post by saying that I know there are looks missing from this post. It was hard to keep track of all Meghan’s looks on this royal tour especially because I felt like all her sartorial choices weren’t as consistently documented as Kate’s on this trip. Nevertheless, I still have a ton of looks to share with you! These are probably not in chronological order, but let’s get started!
She arrived in Sydney in style with this white sleeveless Karen Gee dress.
I love this striped maxi Martin Grant dress she wore to Bondi Beach.
She looked so classically beautiful in this all-black dress and fascinator to visit the Anzac Memorial. Meghan wore an Emilia Wickstead wool crepe dress and Philip Treacy hat.
For an afternoon reception with the prime minister, she wore a striped L’Agence blazer.
When Meghan visited Macarthur Girls High School, she wore this navy blue and periwinkle Roksanda Ilincic midi dress.
In Melbourne, the couple went to the Royal Botanic Garden and Meghan continued to look flawless in this navy blue Dion Lee dress and trench coat.
While on a quick trip to Frasier Island, Meghan looked casual and stylish in this burgundy and white polka dot dress with a tie around the waist by & Other Stories.
Another look from Frasier Island turned some heads. This white and grey striped Reformation maxi with thigh-high slit looked great on her.
Then, Meghan and Prince Harry headed to Fiji. They waved from the Grand Pacific Hotel balcony just like his grandparents did many years ago. Meghan wore a white Zimmermann dress and Stephen Jones fascinator.
Meghan wowed in this blue cape dress by Safiyaa for a state dinner in Fiji.
She spoke at the University of the South Pacific and looked so pretty in this pink floral wrap dress by Figue. I love the pom poms too!
The last look I have of hers from Fiji was this green Jason Wu shift dress. I love this shade of green and it looks great on her.
Meghan made quite an entrance in this gorgeous red Self-Portrait dress when she arrived in Tonga. This dress made headlines because of her little fashion faux pas (the tag is still on the dress), but most people loved how it shows that she’s just human like us!
Meghan wore this blue shirt dress by Veronica Beard to her visit to Tupou College.
To her visit to the St. George Government Building, she wore this white and green striped Martin Grant dress.
And her last night in Tonga saw her wearing this gorgeous white cap sleeve beaded silk satin column dress to a reception with the king and queen of Tonga.
Then it was back to Sydney for another reception (the Australian Geographic Society Awards) and the closing of the Invictus Games. There were a few looks, I’m sure, that I’m missing from these last few days in Sydney but I only got two. Meghan wore this black and white Oscar de la Renta midi dress with bird design, illusion neckline, and full skirt.
And to close out the Invictus Games, Meghan wore an olive green tuxedo dress by Antonio Berardi.
The couple arrived in New Zealand for the last leg of their royal tour. Meghan arrived in an ASOS maternity dress and Karen Walker trench.
Meghan wore another tuxedo dress, this time in white by Maggie Marilyn to her visit to Courtenay Creative.
Meghan stunned again in navy blue at Te Papaiouru Marae with this long sleeve Stella McCartney number.
I loved this dress she wore to the Government House in Wellington for a welcome reception. The neckline and little cap sleeves were so pretty. The dress is Gabriela Hearst.
On the final day of the tour, Meghan and Prince Harry did a walkabout. I loved the sapphire blue sweater and pleated Givenchy skirt she wore. I love the jewel toned shade!
That concludes all the photos I collected from their royal tour to Australia & New Zealand (and more)! There were a lot of days when they did little beach walks or hikes that I didn’t document as her looks mostly consisted of jeans and a coat.
Which look was your favorite? Meghan wore a lot of blue. I wonder if she’s hinting at a baby boy or if it was just the color she was in the mood for. I sometimes find myself dressing in the same color palette for a week or two at a time. What do you guys think?!
