Crushing on Velvet

It’s no secret that velvet is extremely popular right now and I am loving it. Suffice it to say, when Polyvore had a “Crushing on Velvet” style challenge, I was all about participating. I browsed through the velvet dresses on Polyvore and when I saw this green, high neck velvet gown I had to create a set around it. It looks kind of old-fashioned but classic and alluring at the same time despite basically showing no skin.

I decided to style this dress as if I were going to a holiday party so I chose gold accessories that sparkle. A gold and crystal choker, a gold clutch with sparkly flap, and absolutely gorgeous glittery heels with a bow design are the accessories I chose. I am in love with these glittery statement heels!

I would definitely wear this look to a holiday party or a winter wedding.
