Vera Bradley Weekender Bag

Last month I included this Vera Bradley Iconic Weekender Travel Bag in my favorites and since I had to pack it to spend this weekend at my parents house (making lots of Christmas cookies) I thought it was the perfect time to write a whole post about how great this bag is.

I have two other Vera Bradley duffle bags, but this one is so great because it is the perfect size for a weekend hence the name. My first ever Vera Bradley duffle was from years ago and it’s so tiny that I literally could probably fit a pair of pants and a sweater in it. The print is adorable but I really don’t know what I ever thought I could fit in there though somehow back then I made it work. My other duffle bag is a real duffle bag and pretty big. I can use it for long weekends away and as long as I don’t need to pack multiple shoes and things it’s a good size. However, it’s too big for just an overnight trip. Enter this Weekender bag. It’s the perfect size and I love that it has a large zip pocket on the outside as well as net pockets on the inside.

I got the bag in the color/print “Vines Floral” and I love it. I love the black background with the bright florals on it. The bag is sturdy, but still nice and soft and feminine. It fits a lot too! Let’s use this weekend as an example. This bag is big enough to fit a book, my pajamas, a change of clothes which includes a puffy vest, undergarments, my makeup bag, and some toiletries. I do save room with not having to pack too many toiletries since I have a lot of stuff at my parents’ house in my old bathroom, but I still need to pack my makeup and things like my glasses, face spray, leave-in conditioner/detangler, and hair brush. And all those things fit in the back with room to spare.
