Peonies

At my parents house, they have peonies growing in two spots. A little section next to the driveway and one little spot in the backyard by the deck. I don’t remember when they planted the peonies, but they’ve been there for as long as I can remember. Peonies are so beautiful and I hate that they bloom for such a short amount of time. Seriously, they only bloom for maybe 2 weeks and if there’s a bad storm while they’re in bloom then forget about it. They’ll all be drooping and the petals will have fallen off.

They’re pretty much all gone now, but when I walked over to my parents’ house from my condo about 2 weeks ago they were in blooming and gorgeous. I cut a few of the ones that weren’t fully open to take home with me to put in vases.
